The very good news is that our path in time usually leads to self-understanding and often greater self-esteem; on the other hand, that road can be lengthy and quite bumpy. My own journey over eight decades, despite the bumps, has been sprinkled with many humorous moments and, in later years, opportunities to entice others to dig down, pull up, and write--while we still have most of our marbles--for those coming along after us.
