Now Scheduling Author Interviews & Book Clubs

Teaching is part of the adventure.

Nancy and I are scheduling interviews, talks, and book club sessions for Scribblings and Thinking Things Over. Interested in a live or ‘Zoom’ with the author? Let me know, and we’ll get it on the books.

March 27: Interview with Baylor University’s English Department.

It will be held on the Baylor campus in the Carroll Science Building on March 27 from 4-5 pm. We will be interviewed on creating these two memoirs--SCRIBBLINGS FROM STORAGE: The Confessions of an English Major and THINKING THINGS OVER: Reflections of Two 80-Year-Olds. I will also give a short overview of my previous three books (history/biographies) regarding Baylor and my grandfather Professor Francis Gevrier Guittard (1867-1950) called the "trilogy."

Last will be a brief overview of my work-in-progress on my maternal grandfather: JOHN LESTER: Fiery Healer.

December 11: Interview with Cornell College English Department

In December, I ‘zoomed in’ to discuss memoir writing with the Center for the Literary Arts at Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, Iowa.

The conversation was lively, and students were intrigued by the writing process.

Thank you to Dr. Rebecca Entel, Professor of English and Creative Writing, for hosting me.
